Three Books on a Theme: Scary Reads

Readers, we've entered the dark and chilling season of haunts and horrors. PCPL welcomes you to our nightmare with these recommendations.

Tender is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica

This book freaked me out and it continues to every time I think of it. Basically it's a dystopian type book where humans are bred as cattle and eaten as such. All the animals are poisonous and even touching one can supposedly kill you. The whole book is just non stop creepy. I definitely recommend.

Uzumaki by Junji Ito

Junji Ito is famous for his beautifully detailed, creepy art style that will have you fearful yet excited to turn each page. The story of Uzumaki centers around a small town being overtaken by the concept of spirals, and documents the wide-spread descent into madness of its inhabitants.
