Sahuarita Library invites you to an exhibit by local artist Mee-Young Hileman, on display until October 30, 2025.
Artist Statement:
As a lifelong artist at heart, Mee participated in art clubs throughout primary school in South Korea. She took part in student art exhibits at Gulf Coast State College in Florida. Her drawings and illustrations were included in books and a college newspaper, and her oil paintings and sculptures were displayed in the Florida State University.
Mee took fine arts classes in Gulf Coast State college, Florida but chose to be a social worker and received a Bachelor of Social Work at Florida State University. However, she never ceased to capture the moment to express its beauty on the canvas. Mee believes in an interweaving relationship between one’s artistic expression and social welfare to enable an overall well-being.
