It’s time to claim your prizes… Summer Reading for Adults!

That's a wrap for the Summer Reading for Adults program! I hope you had a great summer relaxing out of the heat and reading from your TBR list.

Bring your book trackers and bingo cards to your local branch to get prizes and enter a raffle before Monday, August 31.

Depending on how many books you read, we have stickers, bookmarks, buttons, magnets and books to give away.

On Sunday, August 16, PCPL and our partners Tucson Spotlight and Tucson Tome Gnome held a Summer Reading Party at the Fourth Avenue Coalition Space. About 200 people came out, got their prizes, snacked on pastries, and shopped from bookish vendors. We are grateful to the Coalition Space for hosting us and so happy to have met and talked about books and reading with many of the folks there.

The library is all about connecting people to opportunities to learn and grow. The party and the Summer Reading Program in general was a chance to celebrate books and encourage reading with adults in the community, something integral to our mission. Summer Reading is traditionally about kids but this year we wanted to include everyone, and we hope to have started a new yearly tradition!
