Celebrate the grand re-opening of Richard Elías-Mission Library!

(Tucson, AZ) It's time to celebrate the grand re-opening of the newly-renovated Richard Elías-Mission Library:

Saturday, June 13, 2026
Richard Elías-Mission Library, 3770 S. Mission Rd.

Schedule of events

9 to 10 am
  • Be part of this special occasion as community leaders, library staff, and patrons gather for the official ribbon cutting ceremony.
10:30 to 11:30 am
  • Enjoy live entertainment with Mariachi Luz De Luna and Ballet Folklórico Tapatío.
1 to 2 pm
  • Have fun at Family Storytime in the large meeting room.
2 to 3 pm
  • Calling all teens and tweens to contribute to a collaborative community mural.

Adult Seed Giveaway bags and complimentary books will be given away, while supplies last. Pan dulce and refreshments will be served.

Library manager Hassael Cazesuz says, "We look forward to welcoming you as we celebrate the opening of Richard Elías-Mission Library and the beginning of a new chapter for our community!"
