Bestselling mystery author Lisa Jewell to visit Nanini Library

(TUCSON, Ariz.) – New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA TODAY bestselling author Lisa Jewell will discuss her latest book, Then She was Gone, at the Nanini Library on Wednesday, May 2 at 3:30 pm.

Then She was Gone, a psychological thriller, “has a twisty plot…that leaves readers on the edge of their seats,” says a starred review in Booklist, and “…multilayered characters [that] are sheer perfection.”

In this evocative, suspenseful drama, a woman crosses paths with a charming single father whose young child feels eerily familiar. Jewell embraces uncertainty because, she says, that’s what it takes to write a good book, noting that “It’s important to end every scene with a cliff hanger.” The popular author is a master of the well-placed cliff hanger and has more than twenty novels to her credit to prove it, including The Girls in the Garden, The House We Grew Up In, and The Third Wife.

Her work is perfect for fans of international-bestselling authors Paula Hawkins (Into the Water and The Girl on The Train) and Liane Moriarty (Big Little Lies).

Jewell lives in London with her husband and two daughters.

The program will begin at 3:30, and will be followed by a book sale and signing. The Nanini Library is located at 7300 N. Shannon Rd.  For more information call 594-5365.
