Usually, yes! We currently subscribe to several digital services, and they all work a little differently.
If you checked out an eBook or audiobook from OverDrive, our most popular digital service, most of their items allow early returns. Here are the steps:
If you haven't yet downloaded your item: You can get to OverDrive on our website by clicking on E-Library > See all... on the top left of any page on our website, or you can bookmark their direct link: http://pima.overdrive.com/opens a new window.
You can also use the Libby app on your phone or tablet. On both the browser site and in the Libby app, you can click Return Book anytime.
- If you checked out a Kindle book: You can hit "Return" in my account on the OverDrive website. On Amazon, you can go to "Manage Your Content and Devices" and return the item, which will have a bold "Borrowed" marker next to it. That way, it will no longer show up in your Kindle library.
If you checked out an eBook or audiobook from RBdigital:
- You can get to RBdigital on our website by clicking on E-Library > See all... on the top right of any page on our website, or you can bookmark their direct link: http://pimacoaz.rbdigital.com/opens a new window. Once you've signed in (top right of the screen, log in using a username and password that you picked, not your library card number!), you can click on your name in the top right, then "My Titles," then the little X in the top right corner of your book to return it. On the RBdigital app, you can select "Return" when you have the book pulled up or on the "Checked Out" page.
