The event will feature more than 40 employers, looking to hire veterans, active military, guard and reserve, and military spouses across a wide range of industries.
Industries represented will include:
- Construction
- Manufacturing
- Government
- Transportation
- Aviation
- Call centers
- Warehousing
The Kino Veterans’ Workforce Center, opened in 2012, provides specialized employment services to veterans and their spouses year-round, connecting them with employers and serving as an on-site hub for assistance from local, state and federal partners.
“We want all the veterans and the military spouses to know that we are here to serve them,” said Gabriel Lopez, the Business Services manager of the Kino Veterans’ Workforce Center. “Once they come in, they’re amazed to see all the different resources available to them.”
All veterans — except those with dishonorable discharges — are eligible for the County’s veterans’ employment services. Active-duty service members transitioning within six months of discharge also qualify.
