Art Exhibit ~ Mariluz Burr with Global Art Project for Peace

Joel D. Valdez Main Library invites you to view the work of local artist Mariluz Burr. The piece will be on display until April 30, 2024.


About the artist and Global Art Project for Peace:

Nominated for a UNESCO Prize, the Global Art Project is an international art exchange for peace which has involved 160,000 participants in 95 countries. Regional Coordinators help to organize and spread the word in their part of the world. The Project was founded in Tucson, Arizona, USA in 1993 by artist, Katherine Josten.
 
Mariluz Burr got very touched by the mission of this project and wanted to be part of it. Her art piece “Bridging Cultures Through Smiles and Respect” adds magic to this project’s vision of creating a culture of peace through art.
 
 
Mariluz Burr works for the Office of the Attorney General, she participates in art exhibitions, and she is and active volunteer in the community.
