Valet VITA
Valet VITA is free tax assistance for busy people. We understand that you might not have time to visit a traditional VITA tax preparation site. Rather than waiting in a long line, you can bring in your information to a Valet VITA site. These sessions usually take approximately 30 minutes so you can avoid long wait times.
Your information goes into a queue to be prepared remotely by an IRS-certified volunteer tax preparer. This process can take 2-3 weeks. Then you are notified that your return is complete. You review and approve the return via text or email and your tax returns are submitted electronically for you, for FREE.

AARP Tax-Aide
Make an appointment for in-person tax assistance
All free AARP Tax-Aide tax preparation is by appointment only. Generally, the individual sites will begin to take appointments between January 23rd and February 1st.

Check the Library's calendar for AARP Tax-Aide events
At your appointment the certified tax preparer will review and inventory your documents that you drop off and schedule a time for you to sign and pick up your completed tax return. Most sites offer drop off and pick up the same day and some offer drop off documents and pick up tax return another day.
