Teens, let the Library help you prepare for college and pursue a career

(TUCSON, Ariz.) – Need help writing a résumé? Don’t know what major to choose? Questions about applying for financial aid? Preparing for life after high school can be challenging, but Pima County Public Library has just the event to help get you through it!

College and Career Day
Joel D. Valdez Main Library, 101Space, 2nd Floor
Saturday, August 18, 10 am–2 pm

This free event will include a variety of college- and career-related workshops led by the Library’s Idea+Space staff, Pima Community College, and Earn to Learn. Representatives from ASU, NAU, UofA, Prescott College, and the Metropolitan Education Commission, among others will be on hand to provide information and answer questions.

College and Career Day is free and open to the public. A light lunch will be served.

Em Lane, Young Adult Services Manager at Joel D. Valdez Main Library, says, “We want high school students to know the Library is here for them. This event is just one of the ways we show that. It’s fun to bring experts together to answer their questions and help make the future a little less daunting.”
