Kirk-Bear Canyon Library upgrade, August 2019

(TUCSON, Ariz.) – The Kirk-Bear Canyon Library, located at 8959 E. Tanque Verde Rd., will be temporarily closed Monday, August 5–Sunday, August 18. We plan to reopen on Monday, August 19 at 10 am.

The changes at this 16,215 square foot library are:

  • A shelving redesign to provide customers easier access to Library collection
  • A refresh of the teen area
  • Additional furniture in the teen area

The return book drop will remain open, however items can also be returned to any other library location. Any items due during the closure will be extended an extra week. Holds cannot be picked up at this location while the Library is closed. Reserved items not picked up by August 5 will be held for one extra week after re-opening.

Customers are encouraged to visit nearby libraries:

  • Murphy-Wilmot Library, 530 N. Wilmot Rd
  • Dusenberry-River Library, 5605 E. River Rd
  • Miller-Golf Links Library, 9640 E. Golf Links Rd
