Hotspot and Chromebook Loan Program Sunsetted
As of August 2026, Pima County Public Library will no longer offer loanable technology, including Kajeet SmartSpots and Google Chromebooks.
Originally launched in 2019 to improve educational access in rural areas, specifically for school-aged youth, the program expanded in 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since that time, the educational model employed no longer meets the needs of community members who require devices and connections that allow broader use of today's every-growing and changing technology.
Fortunately, there has been increased action in the community toward making low-cost internet and computers more accessible to all.
Here are some sites to check out.
We also offer FREE wifi and wireless printing at all of our libraries.
Apply online for an eCard and get access to the great resources the Library has to offer!
