Project Details

  • Description: The scope of this work is to move the Joel D. Valdez Main Library from its current location at 101 N. Stone across the street to the former Wells Fargo Bank building at 150 N. Stone Ave. The Downtown Library will receive a major renovation to optimize its space for patrons and the administrative staff. The library acquired the 50,000-square-foot Wells Fargo Building, and the two ancillary buildings and an adjacent parking garage. A more detailed timeline for the project is coming soon.

  • Project Schedule: Estimated to complete and open to the public in 2029
  • Project Budget: $26 million
