Shannon Road in Tucson is named for Lester Shannon who owned a dairy farm in the Jaynes Station area.
Jaynes Station was a railroad station located in the area around where Ruthrauff Road and Interstate 10 intersect. The road once ran from Jaynes Station to Oracle Road.
