Roy Laos Transit Center – Origin of Name

This transit center is named after Roy Laos, Sr. He started a bus company in 1924 that served the south and west sides. His bus was first known as Occidental Bus Lines or "La Tranvia de Laos."  Later renamed Old Pueblo Transit the bus system operated for 50 years before it became part of Sun Tran in 1978.

The Laos Transit Center is located at 205 West Irvington Road.
