Ice, Manufactured—First Ice Machine in Tucson

The first Ice machine in Tucson arrived on August 6, 1879 for Paul Moroney, Esq. Mr. Moroney had ordered his ice machine from San Francisco.

On August 6, 1879 at 4 p.m. the machine began making the first ice in Tucson.
