ARS §15-802 G 2. Homeschool means a nonpublic school conducted primarily by the parent, guardian or other person who has custody of the child or nonpublic instruction provided in the child’s home.

ALTUS FAMILY LIBER ACADEMY

ALTUS Family Liber Academy is a liberal education commonwealth community in Tucson, Arizona. We are a group of families who share knowledge, resources, and experiences to provide their children with an environment rich in classics, inspiration, and principles. ALTUS is dedicated to supporting families in their pursuit of providing a leadership education to their children. We refer to Thomas Jefferson education frequently, and use its guiding principles in mentoring and homeschooling our children.

TYPE OF GROUP: Homeschool Co-op 

AREA: Tucson – Pima County plus families from Pinal and Cochise counties participate as well.

EMPHASIS: Christian

FORMAT: Parent-led co-op classes Thursdays from 9:15 am to 2:30 pm. Monthly parent meetings, monthly scholar nights for youth 12 and up, and monthly field trips, Semester Membership Fee - $136+

CHRISTIAN HOME EDUCATORS OF TUCSON NORTHWEST

A Christian support group comprised of parent-directed homeschooling families in the northwest Tucson area who seek to provide encouragement, fellowship, information, etc. via email and activities led by our parent volunteers.

TYPE OF GROUP: Independent Support Group 

AREA: Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley, Catalina 

EMPHASIS: Christian 

FORMAT: Community service clubs, PE, game days, teen groups, field trips, various co-ops between member families, and sharing information on curriculum, etc. Annual Membership Fee - $30

FAITH HOMESCHOOL COMMUNITY CO-OP

A Christian Homeschool co-op supporting families in the northwest area of Tucson comprised of parent volunteers

TYPE OF GROUP: Homeschool Co-op

AREA: Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley, and surrounding areas

EMPHASIS: Christian

FORMAT: We are a weekly co-op that meets for 12 weeks in the fall and 12 weeks in the spring.  We also offer other support through field trips, park days, and Mom’s night out, Annual Membership Fee - $70

HOLY FAMILY HOME EDUCATORS

A gathering of Catholic families assisting each other in training and teaching our children at home to animate them with love for God and others. Our model is the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph.

NTH is an independent, inclusive support group providing encouragement and community for those pursuing or considering home education/homeschooling for their children.

SDH provides social and creative outlets for homeschooling families. SDH is not devoted to any homeschooling approach, political platform, religious outlook or philosophical ideal, and it supports all families in the area of home education, regardless of their personal lifestyles or educational choices

WE MAKE HISTORY

We Make History is an educational enterprise devoted to bringing history and the arts to life in the context of a creative, inspirational, family-friendly environment. As homeschoolers ourselves, our primary focus is serving the homeschool community.

TYPE OF GROUP: Homeschool Club or Association

AREA: Statewide – Events held in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa, Chandler, Queen Creek, Anthem, Litchfield Park, Prescott, Flagstaff, Tucson, and more. 

EMPHASIS: Christian

FORMAT: Historic Balls, Portrayals, Reenactments, Socials, Educational Workshops, and more. We also organize the American Heritage Festival and an annual Arizona State Homeschool Picnic and Park Day. Numerous historic balls per year, plus socials, picnics, workshops, and demonstrations. Several thousand homeschoolers are involved in the course of a typical year.

QUEST FOR EDUCATION AND ARTS

Quest for Education and Arts is a 501c3 education forward non-profit ministry where industry leaders bring hands on experiences to curious learners in a Christ-centered environment. We are dedicated to providing freedom in education to students in Southern Arizona.

ARIZONA FAMILIES FOR HOME EDUCATION

Arizona Families for Home Education (AFHE) is the statewide organization that has been serving the needs and protecting the rights of Arizona’s homeschooling families since 1983. AFHE is a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational, religious, and charitable corporation run by a Christian board of directors.
