Augie Acuña Los Ninos Park—Origin of Name

Augie Acuña was a former professional baseball player.  He worked as a local umpire and referee for the Pima County Parks and Recreation Department for more than 34 years. A Pima County Park was named after him when he retired in 1981. Augie Acuña Los Niños Park, opens a new window is located at 5432 S. Bryant Avenue.
