Do you love to ride a bike and talk to folks about books? If you said yes, the Bookbike needs your volunteer talent! While Bookbike volunteers don’t actually ride the Bookbike, they do ride along with staff to a wide variety of locations, such as Casa Maria, Tucson House, Pio Decimo Day Care, Caridad Community Kitchen as well as special events like the Tucson Festival of Books. Once you safely arrive at your destination you’ll help set up the Bookbike and then give away as many books as you can to the community. This can be either a monthly commitment or on an as-needed basis. There’s a one-hour training session before you go out on your first ride.
