Eckstrom-Columbus Library is exhibiting the art of Robert Conine through the month of September.
About the Artist:
Robert Conine is a local Tucson resident, the husband of a Tucson 3rd generation native, and a proud grandfather of 6. All his life he has practiced drawing and printmaking with great enthusiasm and, well, love. Syracuse University provided him with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, and Arizona State University with a Master of Fine Arts degree, both in printmaking. Robert has art teaching experience at elementary, high school, and university levels. Also rewarding was the experience of teaching English as a second language at the college/university level in both China and Japan during a ten-year stretch of living in Asia. That was a fabulous experience. Robert has a large library of art books which takes up a lot of space in his modest size living room.
