Bookmobile

The Bookmobile provides monthly library service to citizens of all ages who live in outlying areas of Pima County. The bookmobile carries over 2,500 materials/books and loans approximately 17,000 items annually.

The 3rd Friday (May 18, 2012) visits to Ghost Ranch Lodge, Terra Vista Mobile Home Park, and Picture Rocks Community Center are canceled due to the bookmobile being in the shop for repairs.

Books by Mail

Books by Mail is a free library service for for persons who are visually impaired or who cannot read or use conventionally printed matter due to a physical handicap who live in Pima County. Large type and audio materials are mailed directly to your home free of charge.

Contact our office at 594-5416 for an information packet that we will be happy to send you.

The following requirements must be met for you to be eligible to participate in this program:

  • You must reside in Pima County.
  • Your visual impairment is such that even after correction you are not able to read normal print comfortably for a sustained period of time.
  • You are physically unable to come into the Library and there is no one available to go for you.

Please remember that only large type and audio materials are available in this service.

Deposit Collection Service

This service provides library materials to nursing homes, assisted living facilities and senior day care centers. Due to the high demand for this service to these institutions, the delivery of materials is once every three months. If you are interested in service at one of the above facilities, please ask your activities director to contact us at Readrunners, 594-5416.
