Starting or growing a business? Check out these Business Bootcamps first!

(TUCSON, Ariz.) – Pima County Public Library will host Business Bootcamp: Start & Grow Your Business at two libraries during the 2018 Global Entrepreneurship Week (Nov 12–18).

Thurs, Nov 15 from 10 am–4:30 pm
Murphy-Wilmot Library (530 N. Wilmot Rd.)

Fri, Nov 16 from 10 am–4:30 pm
Wheeler Taft Abbett, Sr. Library (7800 N. Schisler Dr.)

Participants will receive hands-on training, hear about entrepreneurial resources in the community, and learn to use essential Library e-tools and services, including ReferenceUSA and the Small Business Reference Center. A variety of topics will be covered:

  • Start a business plan
  • Find legal information
  • Identify and analyze competitors
  • Locate potential customers and suppliers

Business Bootcamp is free and open to the public, and lunch will be provided. Advance registration is required and can be completed on the Library’s website. Attendees must have basic computer navigational skills to participate. The Library will have laptops available, but participants are welcome to bring their own.

The largest annual celebration of innovators and job creators, Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) inspires people to take the next step in their entrepreneurial journey and drive economic growth worldwide. More than just a single event, GEW includes tens of thousands of events, activities, and competitions spanning 160 countries.

Kassy Rodeheaver, Business Librarian and manager of the Joel D. Valdez Main Library’s Idea+Space, says, “Anyone with a business idea should be supported in exploring it. Nothing is outside the realm of possibility when pursued by driven entrepreneurs.”
