This virtual event will take place on Zoom. Participants must register in advance.
During this event, Dan will talk about his latest book, The Aquanaut. He will also give a brief illustration tutorial and answer previously submitted questions from Pima County kids.
Born to Thai immigrants in Brooklyn, Dan is the author and illustrator of the beloved picture book The Adventures of Beekle: The Unimaginary Friend (en español Las aventuras de Beekle), which won the Caldecott Medal, along with many other titles in the Library's collection, including After the Fall: How Humpty Dumpty Got Back Up Again, Are We There Yet?, and The Cookie Fiasco. His artwork is also featured in numerous picture books, chapter books, and middle-grade novels, including Dav Pilkey's Ricky Ricotta series. He has completed illustrations for more than 60 books.
