“Every day library staff teach business and computer skills in our branches throughout the community. We see this opportunity to partner with Google as an expansion of the work that the library does to support economic and workforce development in Pima County,” says Library Director Amber Mathewson.
Erica Swanson, Google’s Head of Community Engagement, says, “Arizona is a center for innovation, technology, entrepreneurship and manufacturing. By bringing the ‘Grow with Google’ tour to the state, we are making a commitment to help develop a skilled workforce that can meet the needs of Arizona’s growing economy in the digital age.”
