That's My Take 2009
Pima County Public Library invites teens to make films that promote books and reading. That's My Take encourages youth voices, creativity, participation in the arts, and literacy.
This summer fifty-three teens at five libraries and two partner locations worked with youth mentors to produce short films dramatizing their favorite books, including The Lightning Thief, Maximum Ride, Night, and World War Z.
Through workshops given by professional filmmakers, and peer mentoring, youth learned the ins and outs of filmmaking and each participant helped write, direct, and produce a short video. That's My Take 2009 was made possible by the generous support of Friends of the Pima County Public Library.
