About the Summer Video Shootout
The Summer Video Shootout is part of PCPL's ongoing That's My Take project, where teens make films that promote books and reading. This program encourages youth voices, creativity, participation in the arts, and literacy. This summer, youth in Pima County received training and mentoring to create eight short films.
Through participation in workshops and peer mentoring, youth learned the ins and outs of filmmaking and each participant helped write, direct, and produce a short video. Special thanks for making this program possible goes to Pan Left Productions, Friends of the Pima County Public Library, and Kino Weed and Seed.
