The Tucson location contains not only more than 50,000 books documenting the history of Arizona and its residents but also Arizona newspapers, maps and photographs.

Family History Center

Family History Centers are branch facilities of the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. Centers provide access to most of the microfilms and microfiche in the Family History Library to help patrons identify their ancestors. There are two Family History Center locations in Tucson:

The Peggy J. Slusser Memorial Philatelic Library is recognized as one of the most significant repositories of philatelic literature in the United States. In the Pima County Public Library catalog, do a keyword search for "Postal History Foundation" to browse the collection.

A lending library for all of Tucson's citizens, the Tucson Jewish Library serves as a repository for books and audio-visual materials that will widen and deepen the understanding of the Jewish community and the general community.

Open to the public, the library has a non-circulating collection of over 13,000 books and other material dedicated to the visual arts.
