The Foundation Center is a national nonprofit educational organization established by foundations in 1956 in New York City. The Foundation Center's mission is to foster public understanding of the foundation field which it does by gathering, analyzing, and publishing information on private foundations.
This information is made available nationally through its network of over 240 Cooperating Collections, its Web site, and its publications. The Pima County Public Library's Cooperating Collection status gives Pima County residents access to the full range of Foundation Center publications.
The Grants and Nonprofit Information Center is also an Affiliate Library of the Southern Arizona Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
