Tucson Museum of Art Research Library

Education Center, on the northeast corner of Alameda and Meyer.The Tucson Museum of Art Research Library is located in the Education Center at the Tucson Museum of Art, 140 N. Main Ave. in downtown Tucson. The Education Center is immediately east of the main Museum building on the corner of Alameda and Meyer.

Hours: Monday - Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The first Sunday of the month the Research Library is open 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. Free parking is available at the Museum in the lot west of Meyer.

Tucson Museum of ArtIn 2005, Pima County Public Library received LSTA grant funding to add and index the Museum Library's paper catalog into the library's online catalog.

  • Over 12,000 books and other items on art and related subjects in the Tucson Museum of Art Research Library are fully indexed in catalog
  • Find Tucson Museum of Art Library items by selecting "Tucson Museum of Art Library" instead of "Entire Collection" in the appropriate drop down box on any search page
  • The Research Library also contains clipping files on Arizona artists and materials related to the history of the Tucson Museum of Art, as well as extensive research on buildings included in the Historic Block: J. Knox Corbett House, La Casa Cordova, Edward Nye Fish House, Romero House, and Stevens/Duffield House.

  • Open to the public; there is no charge to the public to use the Tucson Museum of Art Research Library
  • Tucson Museum of Art Research Library books and other materials must be used at the museum only
  • A copy machine and scanner is available for the public.
