About the Collection
We subscribe to more than 800 magazines and more than 100 local, regional and national newspapers. While many popular titles can be found at your local branch library, the majority of magazines and newspapers can be found in the Reference Department at the Main Library.
The Reference Department contains an extensive collection of magazines, national newspapers and Arizona publications.
Magazine and Newspaper Reading Room
The Reference Department at the Main Library has a large reading room with a great browsing collection of over 750 current magazines and over 100 current newspapers including 3 in Spanish. This is a great location to sample several periodicals.
Back Issues
At the 3rd floor Reference desk of the Main library there are microfilm issues of The Arizona Daily Star, The Tucson Citizen and the New York Times dating back to the 1880s.
Photocopy Machines and Readers
The Main Library has photocopy machines. Microfilm/microfiche readers for public use are found at the 3rd floor Reference desk. Customers may bring in their own microformats to view. Viewing is free; prints are 10 cents per page.
