Boy Scouts--Died in Snowfall in Santa Rita Mountains
Three Boy Scouts died in the Santa Rita Mountains during a snowfall on November 16, 1958. The names of the boys were: Mike Early, David Greenberg and Michael La Noue. Their bodies were not found until December 4, 1958. There is a memorial to these boys in the Santa Rita Mountains on the Josephine Saddle Trail.
