Typing Speed

Each 5 strokes (including spaces) counts as one word when measuring typing speed.  (This compensates for long and short words.)
To calculate gross words per minute in typing, deduct the number of errors from the total words typed to arrive at a "words per minute" speed.  For a five minute test, you deduct the errors and then divide by 5.
