Breakers Water Park opened Labor Day weekend in 1982. The wave machine did not work, so the park closed in a week. By December 1982 Breakers filed for bankruptcy reorganization. The park reopened in 1984.
Breakers had to get a zoning variance so their lifeguards could blow whistles.

There was a water park located at 3551 S. San Joaquin Road near Bopp and Kinney.
This water park was known as Wyatt’s WaterWorld (and previous to that, Justin’s WaterWorld.)  Wyatt’s WaterWorld closed in 2007.
