Homeless help--Sun/Heat relief sites for Homeless

 Primavera Foundation and Operation Chill Out are providing the poor and homeless with shelter and services for the summer.
Primavera is offering a place to cool off and the assistance of case managers to its clients. Homeless clients also receive bus passes when it is too hot or rainy to walk. The Foundation needs the following: Deodorant; bottled water; sports drinks; ChapStik; sunscreen with SPF over 30; shorts and T-shirts in light color; light-weight fabric shoes; shoes; backpacks; hats; sunglasses; foot powder; bus passes; and child-size T-shirts and shorts for young residents at the family shelter. Donations can be dropped off at Primavera, 702 South Sixth Avenue. For information about the drop-in center, call     520-623-5111. To make a donation, call 520-623-5111, Ext. 108 or go to www.primavera.org.
 
Operation Chill Out is operated by the Salvation Army and distributes summer essentials to the homeless and poor through its Hospitality House. The Operation needs the following: Bottled water; sunscreen; ChapStik; hats; sunglasses. To make a donation bring the items to the Salvation Army’s Hospitality House at 1021 North 11th Avenue or at any Walgreen’s location or at any Naughton’s store. Call 520-795-9671 for more information or to drop off donations.
