Mesquite—How to use in a bread recipe
When you are making a white bread-8 cup recipe. Substitute ½ cup crushed mesquite meal as flour. To prepare mesquite meal, shell the dry pods, crush the beans and remove the seed coverings, grind to meal.
This will result in a brown loaf of bread with a unique taste.
