Hi Corbett Field—Origin of name

Hi Corbett Field is named after Hiram Steven “Hi” Corbett. “Hi” Corbett was the president of the Tucson Baseball Commission for a quarter century. He was instrumental in getting the Cleveland Indians to Tucson for spring training. He helped get the $32,638 to build the field. He was also a state legislator.
