 Ganga—Origin of the term

Ganga means bargain in Spanish.  The use of Ganga originated in Tucson during the 1960s. The 1960s television commercials for Bargain Center Furniture ended with the phrase “Neighbor, that’s a Ganga.”
Bargain Center Furniture was a furniture store on East 22nd street that existed from the 1960s to 2005.
The owner of the store was an Austin Agron.  He starred in the Bargain Center Furniture television ads.
