E-waste is for NONWORKING electronic equipment. If you have NONWORKING computers, cell phones, televisions or other electronics, do not throw them in the trash. Most charities and other agencies only accept WORKING electronics. For information on that see FAQ Recycling.

Los Reales Landfill will accept items such as computers, antifreese, batteries, oil, paint etc. For a complete list of what they will accept visit their website: and select Collection Information under the heading Household Hazardous Waste located to the left of the page.

Tucson/Pima County Household Hazardous Waste Program (HHW Program), is "a joint project between the City of Tucson and Pima County, is designed to collect household hazardous waste from residents of our community. The HHW Program is operated by the City of Tucson." Large quantities should be taken to the Sweetwater location.
