The Mexican government maintains two consulate offices in Tucson.

Consulate Protection Office

Hours of operation: Monday through Friday, 8am to 6pm

What this office does:

The Consulate Protection Office "monitors and protects the rights and interests of its nationals in the counties of Pima and Pinal, giving special attention to assist and advise our compatriots in their relations with the authorities of this country" (Consulate website, 2011).

What this office does:

The Consulate of Mexico office handles services such as "documentation for Mexicans, passports and visas, as well as social programs offered by the Institute for Mexicans Abroad" (Consulate website, 2011).
