Butterflies That Appear During the Monsoon Season

Depending on the intensity of summer rains the Lyside Sulphur Butterflies can be seen flying in the Tucson area. These butterflies are 1 ¼ to 2 inches big.  Their color can be a whitish or greenish with yellow.  These butterflies do not appear with every monsoon.
