Jogs in the roads of Speedway, Broadway, 22nd Street and Golf Links
There are jogs to the south of 50 feet or more on the Tucson Streets of Speedway,
Broadway, 22nd Street and Golf Links. These jogs occur near Wilmot road.
The reason why these streets are not straight is because of how cities are laid out.

The reason why these streets are not straight is because of how cities are laid out.
When governments lay out the streets for a six-mile township, they start from the southwest corner and plan the streets heading north and west. If the roads in two townships don't line up where they meet, the streets have to curve to make up for the difference.
