Southern Arizona Aids Foundation
SAAF originated when three local agencies merged in 1997. The three original orginaizations were:
- the Tucson Aids Project (TAP), which was started by a group of concerned citizens in 1985
- The Shanti Foundation, also founded in 1985
- the People with AIDS Coalition of Tucson (PACT for Life), which began in 1987
Southern Arizona Aids Foundation (SAAF) is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Case management, support groups, and prevention services are also available during evening and weekend hours by appointment.
