- Jennifer Ward is the author of numerous children’s books celebrating the wonders of the natural world, including Way Up in the Arctic, Forest Bright/Forest Night, There Was a Coyote Who Swallowed a Flea, Way Out in the Desert, and Somewhere in the Ocean. Her award-winning titles have been featured in magazines such as Ranger Rick, Your Big Backyard, Learning Magazine, and Foreword, and she has been interviewed and featured on national television and radio.
- Jeff Williamson
- President of the Arizona Zoological Society
- Jeff Williamson was named the President of the Arizona Zoological Society in 2007. He had been the CEO/President and Executive Director of the Zoo since August of 1996. An enthusiastic bicyclist, he has traveled widely and supports various youth programs and medical services for disenfranchised people. He is a founding member of the networking organization Be Outdoors Arizona, which is charged with reconnecting people to nature. Mr. Williamson is an advocate for sustainable community, and sees today’s zoos as places to advocate for integrated relationships between people and nature.
