Presented by docents of the University of Arizona Museum of Art, in partnership with the Pima County Public Library, join us every 2nd Tuesday of the month for illustrated art talks on a variety of topics.

- "Remember Me: Exploring Topics in Portraiture."
This presentation is an exploration of some of the questions that surround the genre of portraiture. For example: how portraits have been used throughout time, how the aesthetics have evolved, and the "truthfulness" of portraits. Presented by Olivia Miller, Curator of Education.

The Wallachs will focus on Style, Fabrics, Accessories and Cultural Movements from the 15th Century to Modern Times. Clues to the changes in fashion are revealed through various artists' works. Presented by Fleurette and Marc Wallach.

- Maynard Dixon: An Artist's Love for the Southwest
Maynard Dixon, Tucson's most famous artist, fell in love with the "old pueblo." He lived in Tucson for many years and traveled across the Southwest. Come explore exampes of his artwork from the University of Arizona Museum of Art's permanent collection. Presented by Jacquelyn Feller.

- The Kress Collection: A Gift to America
Samuel Kress's historic donation was instumental in building the University of Arizona's Museum of Art. The Collection consists of more than 60 European paintings, sculputures and decorative objects dating from the 14th to 19th centuries. Presented by Carolyn Rivers.

- "The Retablo of Ciudad Rodrigo"
Learn more about one of the museum's greatest treasures, an alterpiece consisting of 26 panels dating from the 15th centruy, created in Spain and part of the Samuel Kress collection. Presented by Johanna Stein.
