Refresh the skills you need to work with the Windows operating system or just learn some helpful things about Windows.
In this course, you will learn skills that are useful for beginning computer users including resizing and manipulating Windows, changing the mouse properties, using toolbars, rearranging the computer desktop and getting support online.

Free GED/HSE Preparation and Tutoring

At this drop-in session, get help from our tutors to get started preparing for the GED/HSE at your own pace. All classes are taught by Pima County Public Library tutors with Adult Education Certification, and will be taught in English. Students ages 16 and older can attend classes.

Please note that children cannot attend these classes. Parents must make their own child care arrangements for children under age 8.

Come join us for stories, songs and fun! Designed for 3- to 5-year-olds and their parents or caregivers. Stories are longer than the Toddler Storytime and the activities are more complex. Children must be able to sit still for a longer period of time than during Toddler Storytime. Preschool Storytime is 30 to 45 minutes long.

Introduction to Computers

In this fun, hands-on course you will learn all the basic computer skills including using the mouse and keyboard, working in Microsoft Windows, using Microsoft Word, surfing the Internet and using Email. This course is ideal for someone who has a little experience with the computer but wants to know more.
Note: If you have never touched a computer or keyboard before, you may benefit from attending our Meet the Computer course prior to Introduction to Computers.

EITC / VITA Tax Preparation

IRS-trained volunteers will prepare federal and state income tax returns and counsel clients to make sure that hard-working families claim tax benefits for which they are eligible (EITC). The United Way can submit returns electronically for free.

Free, volunteer-run tax preparation and assistance serving low- and middle-income taxpayers with special attention to those ages 60 and older.

According to the AARP website, the tax help sessions are the nation's largest, free, volunteer-run tax preparation and assistance service. The program serves low- and middle-income taxpayers with special attention to those ages 60 and older.
