Intermediate Microsoft Word

This course focuses on intermediate word processing skills like formatting longer documents, using clipart, using templates and styles, creating and editing tables, and creating mail merges.

This is a follow-up to the OASIS Connections course "Introduction to Microsoft Word." If you haven't taken that course, you should at least be familiar with the basic features and functions of Microsoft Word.

Stay and Play

Learn how playing with your child can promote healthy cognitive and emotional development. Our playgroup includes songs, games and play that promote language acquisition, social/emotional skills, motor skills, and intellectual growth. Children ages 8 months to 4 years and their parents or caregivers are invited to come play! A certified child development specialist from The Parent Connection will be available to answer questions.

Homework Help

Free tutoring is available on site for all ages. Subjects include math, science, social studies and writing.

Teen Advisory Board

Nanini Library's TAB (Teen Advisory Board) is open to teens 12 and up. Join the fun participating in library programs, reaching out to the community and sharing about books. We meet twice a month on Mondays and on occasional Saturdays.

Tuesday Art Talks at Nanini- Concrete Comentary

Concrete Commentary will be presented by University of Arizona Museum of Art Docent Tammy Bearden. This talk will cover the evolution of our cities and the stories of the people who live there, told through the art work of various early and middle 20th century artists.

Nanini Branch Library invites you to come read to a dog! Certified therapy dogs love to come to the library to listen to young readers.

Reading to a dog gives children a chance to improve their reading skills in a relaxed, comfortable environment with a non-judgmental listener.

Family Storytime

Family Storytime is for all ages. It is an opportunity for parents to introduce their children to reading and language in a fun way.

Toddler Storytime

Toddler Storytime is for children 18- to 36-months-old. Parents and children interact through stories, songs, and rhymes. Stories are kept short to fit toddlers' attention spans. Each program is 20 to 30 minutes.

Advanced English Language Conversation Class/ Clases de Conversación de Inglés avanzadas

Practice your English conversation skills with trained, volunteer tutors from Literacy Volunteers of Tucson. Classes may include some reading and writing to stimulate discussion. Call 594-5365 to inquire. Parents please note that children cannot attend these classes. Parents must make their own childcare arrangements for children under the age of 8.
