Fundraising Plans: Your Plan for Success!
Whether you are the new development officer for your organization, or a multi-year veteran, is your fundraising plan the sure-fire key to the success you wish to achieve? If not, come learn how to develop a completely new plan that has the promise of a whole new approach to building a philanthropic constituency that will support your organization for many years to come. Because we know that board members are important to our success in the development office, this session will address some of the techniques helpful to engaging them. Finally, some of the key elements of the plan will demonstrate how the Public Library can be your partner in supporting your fundraising program.
Presented by Barbara Levy, ACFRE.
Barbara is a seasoned professional with over 39 years experience in development. She is one of fewer than 100 individuals in the country to qualify for and earn the Advanced Certified Fundraising Executive credential. Barbara is a nationally recognized consultant and speaker on board and organizational development and fundraising. In 1998, the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) recognized Barbara at their International Conference as the Outstanding Fundraising Executive.

Read to a Dog
Children are invited to read to a Certified Therapy Dog. One of the favorite things for the dog to do is listen to children read lots of stories. Reading to a dog or other pet can help new and reluctant readers gain confidence, increase important reading skills, and develop a love of reading.
