Writing Workshops
Writing About Place: Memoir, Travel, and Nature
Are you interested in writing memoir, travel, or nature essays? Do you have true stories you want to tell your kids, your family, or the world? If you have written an annual holiday letter you have what it takes to get started. We will read and share what we read, keep a journal, do short writing exercises, have class discussions and enjoy being together. Bring a sense of adventure, a notebook, and pencils or pens.
This four-part class will be taught by Deb Liggett who retired from the National Park Service and now lives in Tucson. She is completing her Masters in Fine Arts from the University of Alaska, Anchorage with an emphasis in creative non-fiction.
Registration begins February 1, 2013. Please call 594-5345.
