Intermediate Microsoft Word

This course focuses on intermediate word processing skills like formatting longer documents, using clipart, using templates and styles, creating and editing tables and creating mail merges. This is a follow-up to the Connections course Introduction to Microsoft Word. If you havenít taken that course, you should at least be familiar with the basic features and functions of Microsoft Word.

More Writing About Place

Do some reading and in-class writing exercises in this 8-week course. Keep a journal and delve into both the craft and the art of non-fiction. Bring a notebook, pens, pencils and a sense of adventure. If you have written your (mostly true) holiday letter you have what it takes. Join us!

This course will be taught by Deb Liggett. Deb retired from the National Park Service and now makes Tucson her home. She is pursuing a MFA in Creative Non-Fiction from the University of Alaska.

Designed for children 18- to 36-months-old. Parents/caregivers and children interact through stories, songs, and rhymes. Stories are kept short to fit the toddlers' short attention spans. Each Toddler storytime is 20 to 30 minutes long.

Introduction to Microsoft Excel

Excel is a spreadsheet program that helps you manage mathematical information. You can use Excel to budget your personal finances and keep track of your investments. You can also use Excel to follow loan repayments, compare different mortgages, create invoices and more. Prior experience with the computer and an understanding of the Windows operating system is recommended.
