Edible Desert Plants and Mesquite Milling Demonstration
Find out how to harvest the mesquite pods in your own backyard and learn about the process of milling them into baking flour! A local expert will lead attendees on a walking tour of Martha Cooper Library’s edible landscape, explain the process of mesquite milling, give examples of the best pods you can harvest from your own trees and even share some recipes. Program and milling demonstration presented by Desert Harvesters.
